The kabuki brush is a popular makeup brush with a short handle and dense bristles. It is named after the Japanese Kabuki dance-drama theatre known for the elaborate make-up worn by the performers. The heavy makeup is an important part of the characters and the design of the brush allows uniform application of the heavy makeup on the entire face. Most kabuki brushes have a rounded head (but it can also be flat).
A kabuki brush is used to apply any sort of powder make-up on large surfaces of the face (loose powder, foundation, face powder, blush, bronzer). Because of its design, the brush applies makeup evenly on the skin. The large head also makes it suitable for applying makeup over larger areas of the skin such as the neck and cleavage.
To apply makeup with a rounded kabuki brush swirl it around to pick up powder. Then gently tap off excess product and apply over desired areas in a circular swirling motion.
The Antonym Kabuki Brush is a luxurious all-purpose makeup brush ideal for applying foundation, blush, bronzer or any type of powder. It includes a pouch, which keeps the brush clean. Many women also put powder on the brush and take it with them in the pouch so they can reapply on the go, without having to bring their entire make-up kit. The brush is cruelty free and is made of eco-friendly bamboo.
