Smudgy Eye Look

We’re excited to share the latest makeup tutorial: the Antonym Smudgy Eye Look. Malinda Ballesteros, makeup artist extraordinaire helps us break down the process:

Skin

I recommend starting your makeup by prepping the skin. When creating a makeup look where the focus is on the eyes, it’s important to take the time to create a touchable yet flawless skin. I achieved this by using the Antonym Skin Esteem Foundation in the color Nude and applying it using the Antonym Foundation Brush #4. For concealing I used used the Skin Esteem Foundation in Beige Medium Light. Finally, to set all of my liquid products while adding another level of luminosity to my skin, I used the Antonym Baked Foundation in Medium Beige.  I applied this with the Antonym Blush Brush #2 in a swirling motion all over my face. (skin prep is going to be one of our upcoming videos, so stay tuned).

Blush and Highlight

I used the Baked Blush in Peach with the Antonym Blush Brush #2 for a fresh flush of color on my cheeks. Baked Highlighting Blush Cheek Crush was applied to the tops of my cheeks, down the center and the tip of my nose, my cupids bow and as a brow highlight. This product really adds a gorgeous youthful glow to the skin.

The Smudgy Eye Look

First, I used the Eye Pencil Noir and Lined my top and bottom lash line making sure to really work the pencil between my lashes. I used the Antonym Medium Pencil Brush #19 to blend the pencil, so my edges were nicely diffused.

My hero eye product was the Quattro Eyeshadow To The Moon & Black. I used the color Obsidian over my liner to set and intensify the color.  I then used Blue Moon and Obsidian mixed together on the outer V area of my eye to start building up a smokiness to my eye look. This was done using the Antonym Pencil Brush #19. I lightly blended these two colors into my crease, keeping the intensity in the outer corners of my eyes. Lastly, I used the color Ice and with my finger pressed the color right in the center of my lid for a highlighting effect.

I used Lola Lash Too Mascara and with a few coats, I was able to create thick full lashes to really accentuate my eye look!

Lips

I finished the look with Lipstick Pencil Pinkish. I applied the pencil right on my lips and with the brush, softened the color on the edge of my lips to create the illusion of a fuller lip.

And voila! Now the Antonym Smudgy Eye Look is complete.
